To mark the 30th anniversary of After War Gundam X (機動新世紀ガンダムX), Onkyo Corporation is releasing a special collaboration model of its true wireless earphones, the “CP-TWS01F GUNDAMX”. The highlight of the product is a set of all-new, studio-recorded voice lines from Garrod Ran and Tiffa Adill, totalling 72 words spread across three selectable modes.
Premium Audio Hardware
The earphones are powered by a Qualcomm QCC3072 SoC and support SBC, AAC, and Qualcomm aptX Adaptive codecs. When paired with a compatible Android device, they deliver high-quality audio, low latency, and a stable connection. Qualcomm TrueWireless Mirroring technology automatically switches the primary earbud between left and right to minimise dropouts and noise.
The housing has been redesigned from the ground up to improve soundstage width and imaging, reproducing clear, high-fidelity audio down to the finest detail.

Gundam X-Themed Design

Users can tap to cycle through three character voice modes for all system guidance sounds — power on/off, pairing, tap tones, noise-cancelling activation, and more:
- Garrod Ran mode — 23 words
- Tiffa Adill mode — 23 words
- Garrod & Tiffa duo mode — 26 words
For example, powering on in Garrod’s mode triggers “ガンダムエックス、行っちゃうぜ！” (“Gundam X, let’s go!”), while a successful connection in Tiffa’s mode plays “私が…導きます！” (“I will… guide you!”). In the duo mode, a low-battery warning delivers the line “こんなところで死ぬもんか……死なせるもんか！” (“I won’t die here… and I won’t let you die either!”).

Ahead of the pre-order launch, the ONKYO DIRECT ANIME STORE (音アニ1号店) in Akihabara will put a unit on display from 11:00 a.m. on 4 September. Pre-orders and listening demos open at the same store from 3:00 p.m. that day, with a dedicated in-store QR code for ordering. The wireless charger and earphone pouch accessories go on sale simultaneously via the ONKYO DIRECT online store and the Akihabara shop at 3:00 p.m. on 4 September.
