On June 6 — the birthday of Emi Ogata (Emi Ogata), the celebrated voice actress well-known to Thai anime fans — Anime! Anime! is marking the occasion by inviting readers to join a birthday poll with the question: “Which character voiced by Emi Ogata do you love most?”
Career and Major Roles
Emi Ogata launched her voice acting career in 1992 with the role of Kurama in Yu Yu Hakusho (ยูยูฮาคุโช), and has built her reputation steadily over more than three decades.
At the 7th Seiyu Awards she received the Takahashi Kazue Award, given to individuals who have contributed to raising the profile of voice acting through various media, and at the 16th edition she added the Best Actress Award to her trophy shelf.
Through 2025–2026 she remains as active as ever, appearing in ongoing series such as Jibaku Shounen Hanako-kun 2 (ฮานาโกะคุน ภาค 2) and Jujutsu Kaisen: Shimetsu Kaiyu Zenpen (จูจุตสึไคเซน อาร์ค Culling Game ตอนแรก), as well as new works including Ishura (อิชูระ) and Dead Account.
Birthday Events and Off-Screen Activities
On her actual birthday, June 6, a special concert “YELL ROCK BEST!” is scheduled to be held. She also holds the position of director of the Breathe Arts voice acting agency and is actively involved in nurturing the next generation of voice actors.
