On June 2, we celebrate the birthday of Sawashiro Miyuki, the acclaimed voice actress who has captivated anime fans for decades.
Career and Highlights
Sawashiro Miyuki began her voice acting career in 1999 with the role of Puchi-Charat in the anime Di Gi Charat. Since then she has built an outstanding body of work, earning multiple Seiyu Awards — including Best Supporting Actress at the 3rd ceremony, Best Lead Actress at the 4th, the Overseas Fan Award at the 5th, and Best Supporting Actress again at the 9th.
In 2025–2026 she has taken on leading roles in numerous productions, including Versailles no Bara, LUPIN THE IIIRD THE MOVIE, Ikoku Nikki, and Meitantei Conan: Highway no Datenshi. She is also active in overseas dubbing, radio hosting, and stage play narration.
