Animate announced on Saturday a new multimedia project called Harajuku Himegoto House, set to span a television anime, music releases, and additional content.
Story
The project is described as a high-tempo gag story centered on an aspiring hitman who travels to Harajuku in search of a rumored hideout for assassins — only to find that the location is actually a café run by a wildly eccentric cast of high-fashion characters.
Cast
- Yūya Hirose as Mizuki Otokozawa, an aspiring hitman
- Tetsuei Sumiya as Mero Togariishi, a high-energy, positive “gal”
- Sōhei Horikane as Takara Rokurokusō, a foul-mouthed gothic lolita doll
- Masaru Yoshimura as Kentarō Jinbayama, a centaur who embodies the ideal man
- Takuma Nagatsuka as Yuki Inubo, a man seeking to cure his persistent low spirits
- Nobuhiko Okamoto as Hitoshi Haritsukekawara, the twin-tailed, 50-year-old decora-fashion store manager
- Showtaro Morikubo as Shō Dogenzaka, a flashy man carrying a staggering debt of 2 trillion yen (approximately US$12.6 billion)
Staff & Production
Plott is handling planning and production for the project, while Bandai Namco Music Live (Lantis) is overseeing the music side. Animate is collaborating on promotion. The original character illustrations were created by visual artist Aki Akane (also known as Akane Aki).
The project’s first group song is set to debut on Sunday.
