The anime 「北斗の拳 -Fist of the North Star-」 has announced that Shirokumo Hiroshi (白熊寛嗣) will voice the character Devil Reverse, the fearsome giant demon imprisoned within Bireny Prison.

Going All-In on the Character

Shirokumo Hiroshi revealed his approach to the role: facing off against the tiny Kenshiro while possessing the colossal body of Devil Reverse is an enormous challenge. He decided to commit fully to the part by imagining he himself had truly become a demon — staring into the recording booth’s monitor, flipping his mindset, and conjuring the image of the little Kenshiro scurrying around him before unleashing every ounce of energy until exhausted, pushing his abilities to the absolute limit.

Devil Reverse Appears in Episode 10

The Devil Reverse character will make his appearance in Episode 10, titled 「悪魔の化身（デビルリバース）」, which aired on May 29. The production team has already released a scene still from the episode. Additionally, the anime’s official X (Twitter) account ran a follow-and-repost campaign to win one copy of Fox’s “Chouto Chihaiken” Floor Resonance Hand Towel”.

First encounter with Fist of the North Star

Shirokumo said he first encountered this work when he was in elementary school, watching the TV anime, and that at school there were many students imitating Kenshiro. Since everyone wanted to be Kenshiro, the famous pose “Hokuto Hyakuretsu-ken” ended up being done hundreds of times, he said with a laugh.

What it takes to survive the post-apocalypse

Shirokumo answered with enthusiasm: “Becoming a younger brother who is stronger than his older sibling.”

About the Fist of the North Star Anime

This new anime adaptation is based on the original work by Buronson (武論尊) and Hara Tetsuo (原哲夫), featuring an entirely new staff and cast. It airs during the Spring 2026 season on TOKYO MX and BS11 every Friday at 25:00, and streams on Prime Video.
