The July issue of the guitar magazine Young Guitar, published by Shinko Music Entertainment, will feature a special project titled 「北斗の弦」(Hokuto no Gen), dedicated to the musical universe of the anime 「北斗の拳 -FIST OF THE NORTH STAR-」, based on the original work by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara.
The feature is the first installment of Young Guitar’s new “Guitar and Anime” series, exploring how the “sound of Hokuto” has been created across the decades.
Interviews with Key Artists
The feature includes interviews with several figures involved in the series’ music:
- Toshl and Yuki Hayashi – musicians responsible for the music in the new Hokuto no Ken anime
- Monsieur Yoshizaki of Crystal King – vocalist for theme songs from earlier entries in the series
- Tsuyoshi Ujiki of Kodomo Band – another artist who has helped shape the series’ sound over the years

In addition to the interviews, the issue includes guitar scores for four memorable songs from the series:
- Hallelujah
- Ai wo Torimodose!! (愛をとりもどせ!!)
- SILENT SURVIVOR
- TOUGH BOY
The July issue of Young Guitar will go on sale on June 10.
