Here is a full rundown of where to watch it and how the services compare.

Streaming Services Carrying Hyakuyoufu Season 3: Keishi-hen

The following platforms offer the series as part of an unlimited streaming subscription in Japan:

  • U-NEXT — ¥2,189/month; 31-day free trial; 500-yen points on first registration
  • DMM TV — ¥550/month; 14-day free trial; 550 points on first registration
  • d Anime Store — ¥660/month; first month free

No availability was confirmed on Netflix or Disney+ at the time of writing. The free broadcast catch-up service TVer carries the latest episode for a limited period, but for access to all episodes from the beginning, a paid subscription is recommended.

On DMM TV and d Anime Store, new episodes are added every Thursday at noon. Hulu adds new episodes weekly after the TV broadcast.

Why U-NEXT Stands Out

U-NEXT is particularly convenient for fans of the franchise because it carries all three seasons — Season 1, Season 2, and Season 3: Keishi-hen — under a single unlimited plan. New subscribers receive a 31-day free trial plus 500 yen in points (usable within 30 days for rental titles). After the trial, the monthly fee is ¥2,189, with 1,200 points credited each month.

Story and Highlights

Based on the Chinese novel Hyakuyoufu by Shaluoshangshu, the series follows Taoyao, a physician who specialises in treating demons and spirits. Accompanied by the young monk Moya, the grey fox Gunggun, and the handsome nobleman Liu Gongzi — who is secretly a giant serpent — she travels the land searching for the lost “Tome of a Hundred Demons” (百妖譜) while healing the hearts of the creatures she meets.

In Season 3: Keishi-hen, the group arrives at the capital city Keishi. No sooner do they arrive than Taoyao is robbed of a large sum of money she won at a gambling den. The mysterious man who catches the thief — Feng Wule — seems to Taoyao to conceal the presence of a demon within him.

A signature element of the series is Taoyao’s golden wrist bell, which allows her to hear the innermost feelings of her patients. The franchise has accumulated over 660 million views on bilibili. Season 3 introduces the Si brothers, known as the “Living Kings of Hell”: the taciturn, bookish younger brother Si Kuanglan, voiced by Hiroshi Kamiya, and the sociable, doting elder brother Si Jingyuan, voiced by Daisuke Ono.
