The anime 「氷剣の魔術師が世界を統べるII」 (Hyouken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu II), the second season of the hit series, has been confirmed to premiere in October 2026. Alongside this announcement, the first teaser visual for Season 2 has also been revealed.
The most notable change this season is the switch of animation studio from the original to Zero-G, which takes over production starting with Season 2. The teaser visual produced by Zero-G showcases Ray = White, the story’s protagonist, along with both main heroes of this arc: Amelia = Rose and Ariane = Augulen.
Story Overview
Hyouken no Majutsushi ga Sekai wo Suberu (The Ice Sword Magician Who Governs the World) follows Ray = White, a young mage who has earned the title of “Sword Saint of the Ice Blade” — the most powerful mage in the world. He enrolls in a top magic academy as a student from a commoner background and must confront a scheme targeting the mage bloodline. In Season 2, Ray — who has already discovered his own identity — is thrust into a grand magical tournament known as the Magicus War (War of Mages) in a three-person team format, while ominous shadows begin to close in.

Mikoshiba Nana, the original novel author, said: “I am truly moved to learn that fans both in Japan and abroad have loved this work so much. It’s hard to put into words just how far this story has come. I hope fans will enjoy Season 2 just as much as Season 1.”
Enoki Junya, the voice actor for Ray = White (returning from Season 1), commented: “In Season 1 we got to see Ray’s genuine heart, and the way he leveled up so dramatically was thrilling even for me — I’m excited to find out whether this season can keep that charm alive. I encourage fans to revisit Season 1 before Season 2 begins.”
Saeki Iori, who voices Amelia = Rose, shared: “Getting the green light for Season 2 after all these years made me realize just how much fans have kept loving this work. I’m so happy to be reuniting with Amelia again.” She also teased fans to look forward to what the Magicus War really is, as well as how the late-Season-1 confrontation between Amelia and Rebecca will continue.
Sekine Akira, the voice actor for Ariane = Augulen, said he was excited from the moment he read the first script for Season 2, and is confident fans will see many more facets of Ariane this season. He confirmed that the energy and intensity from Season 1 remain fully intact — if anything, they may have grown even stronger.
