The official X/Twitter account for Shufu to Seikatsu Sha’s Comic PASH! magazine announced the main staff for the anime adaptation of Marukawa’s manga Apprentice Nail Artist in a Foreign Land (Ikyō no Tsumenuri Minarai) on Wednesday.

The anime is being produced at Zero-G under the direction of Daiji Iwanaga, known for his work on The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window and The Klutzy Class Monitor and the Girl with the Short Skirt.
Tomoko Konparu — a veteran scriptwriter with credits including NANA, Nodame Cantabile, and Kimi ni Todoke – From Me to You — is overseeing series composition and co-writing scripts alongside Michiko Yokote, whose own notable works include Shirobako, Train to the End of the World, and Ruri Rocks.
Story
The manga is a shoujo fantasy set in a world where people’s magical abilities are derived from nail art. Office worker Keiko Sahara, whose hobby is designing cute gel nails, is transported to this world and catches the eye of a skilled magic nail artist, who takes her on as his apprentice.
About the Manga
Marukawa launched the manga in Comic PASH! in 2022. The sixth compiled volume was released in October 2025, with the seventh volume set to go on sale this Friday.
Tokyopop holds the English-language license and released the first volume on April 7.
