The live-action series “Ima kara, Shinyuu Yameyou ka.” (今から、親友やめようか。 – From Now On, Shall We Stop Being Best Friends?), based on the manga by Nitsuyama Nitsuko, has revealed its official poster visual and announced a new group of cast members.
Poster Visual
The poster depicts the hesitation of Himari Shibasaki and Kazumi Hojo, two people crossing the line from best friends into a romantic relationship. A single rope separates them, symbolizing the inner conflict waiting ahead.
New Cast and Characters
- Yuhi Inouchi plays Shoko Nihei, Himari and Kazumi’s capable junior coworker. She has special feelings for Himari, speaks her mind without hesitation, and often clashes with Kazumi.
- Ari Furuta plays Riko Ando, Himari’s coworker who loves gossip and knows everything. She tries to play Cupid for Himari and Kazumi.
- Hikari Kuroki plays Minori Teramoto, Himari’s coworker who speaks bluntly and does not always read the room, but has a charming innocence.
Theme Song
The series’ opening theme is “Kimi no Kaeri wo Matteru” (君の帰りを待ってる) by Second Backer. Kohei (Vo/Gt) of the band expressed his happiness at being involved in the work and said he hopes the song will make the characters’ story even more powerful.
