The TV anime 「Isshiki-san wa Koi wo Shiritai.」(Isshiki-san Wants to Know About Love) has announced it will air in January 2027. Alongside this news, the first teaser PV debuted, offering the first animated look at the series, and the voices of both lead characters were revealed.
Story Summary
Isshiki Rinna Milford is a brilliant young woman who graduated at the top of her class and became a detective superintendent at “the special investigative unit for modern-era crimes” at just 17 years old. She has been labeled a “cold fish” because her calculating, cool-headed nature means she has never shown interest in romantic love of any kind.
One day, while working alongside Rokutanda Mechi, an “amateur detective” partner who helps with investigations, Rinna suddenly feels a mysterious flutter and racing in her heart without knowing why. Mechi suggests the two of them try a “practice couple” arrangement to help Rinna solve the mystery of this strange sensation — and that marks the beginning of a “difficult” story that might just be called “first love,” as both of them give it their all.
Teaser PV
The newly released teaser PV shows the first animated footage for the series, depicting Rinna’s heart flutter that occurs specifically when she is near Mechi, along with scenes of the two beginning to “explore” answers together.

I think this is the strength of ‘Isshiki-san’ itself, and I hope to deliver Rinna and Mechi’s excitement and joy for fans to feel.”
