The staff for the Iwamoto Senpai no Suisen (岩元先輩ノ推薦) anime has announced its official premiere date. The first episode will air on July 4, 2026. Information about the opening and ending songs, as well as newly added voice cast members, has also been revealed.
Original Work
The series is based on the manga of the same name by Hiroshi Shiibashi. It was first published as a special chapter in “Shonen Jump+” on March 30, 2020, before beginning regular serialization in Ultra Jump in March 2021.
Synopsis
The story takes place in Japan in the 1910s. Kodo Iwamoto, a student at Seiho High School under the supervision of the army, is assigned to investigate supernatural phenomena occurring across the country and recruit people with special powers for military use. On his travels, he encounters strange events and people with various abilities. The series is a romantic mystery that depicts Iwamoto’s relationships with these gifted individuals.
Opening and Ending Theme Songs
The opening theme will be performed by THE JET BOY BANGERZ (TJBB), while the ending theme, titled “ココニイル”, will be performed by WOLF HOWL HARMONY (WHH). Both groups belong to LDH.
THE JET BOY BANGERZ said, “We are truly honored to be involved with a work that has such a distinctive world and beautiful artwork. We put our effort into expressing the charm of the story through music, and we hope everyone will listen to our song while watching the anime.”
WOLF HOWL HARMONY said, “We kept thinking about how this song could embrace the characters’ emotions and Iwamoto-senpai’s warmth. We hope ‘ココニイル’ will leave a lingering feeling with viewers after each episode ends.”
Additional Voice Cast
