Key Visual ของ TVAnime Kanata Kara แสดงภาพโนริโกะและอิซาคในโลกต่างมิติ

TV anime Kanata Kara (彼方から) has confirmed its premiere date as October 4, 2026. The announcement was accompanied by the release of a key visual and full promotional video, along with four new cast members and the series’ theme song lineup.

About the Series

Kanata Kara is a manga by Kyoko Hikawa, serialized in LaLa magazine (Hakusensha) from November 1991 to December 2002 — a run of roughly 12 years. The series has sold over 4 million copies in total and earned the prestigious Seiun Award for best science fiction work of the year, cementing its status as a landmark in isekai fantasy manga.

The story follows Noriko Tachiki, an ordinary high school girl who is mysteriously drawn into an unfamiliar parallel world. Lost and unable to communicate, she is rescued by Izark, a lone wandering warrior. The two slowly forge a bond across their vast cultural and linguistic differences — until fate pulls them into something far greater than either could have imagined.

The anime adaptation is being produced to celebrate the manga’s 35th anniversary, with original author Kyoko Hikawa supervising the scripts.

New Cast Members

  • Tamiko Saito as Gaya
  • Tadashi Miyazawa as Goriya
  • Taisuke Nakano as Agol
  • Miku Ito as Jinahars

Previously announced cast includes Tomoyo Kurosawa as Noriko Tachiki, Kentaro Kumagai as Izark Kia Taj, Yuichiro Umehara as Rachef, and Eiji Takeuchi as Keimos Lee Goda.

Comments

Tamiko Saito (Gaya)

I’m playing Gaya il Biska, and I still can’t believe I get to be part of this. Just being able to watch this series as an anime in this day and age would have been enough — but to actually appear in it? Gaya is strong, caring, and warm-hearted, a mother figure for everyone. And Noriko voiced by Tomoyo Kurosawa is just adorable. I’ll give it everything I have!

Tadashi Miyazawa (Goriya)

Hello to fans old and new! I’m voicing Goriya, the seer who serves under Rachef. This is a grand, exciting isekai story, and I plan to have fun playing a character who believes wholeheartedly in his own sense of justice. Please enjoy!

Taisuke Nakano (Agol)

It’s a great honor to play Agol — a strong yet gentle man, quite different from the quirky roles I usually get. What I focused on most during recording was the warmth in Agol’s voice whenever he calls his daughter’s name. Please pay attention to all the different ways he says “Jina.”

Miku Ito (Jinahars)

Jinahars is blind but possesses the power of a seer. She’s young and small, yet remarkably sharp and composed — though she has her sweet, childlike moments around her father Agol. I hope everyone watches to see what role her power plays in the story!

Yoshizawa Yoshito of 原因は自分にある。(Opening Theme)

We’re truly honored to contribute the opening theme to such a beloved, long-running work. “逃光行” was crafted to add even more color to the world of Noriko and Izark. Please enjoy both the song and the anime together — and listen to it lots!

名無し之太郎 (Ending Theme)

When I finished reading the original manga, my first thought was, “I wish I’d found this sooner!” The relationships between the characters and the depth of the story completely captivated me. It’s a genuine honor to play even a small part in bringing this story — born in the 1990s — to new audiences in 2026. As a fan myself, I can’t wait for the broadcast to begin!
