Manga artist Mori, best known for Ane ni Naritai Gishi VS Yuri ni Naritai Gimai, has launched a brand-new series on MagComi as of October 23. The new title is Kimi to wa Issho ni Shinenai: Keishichō Kai Chōsashitsu (roughly, “I Can’t Die With You: Metropolitan Police Department Paranormal Investigation Room”), a girl-meets-girl supernatural mystery.
Story
The protagonist is Shippo Ruri, an elite police officer who gets caught up in a shooting incident and takes a bullet to the chest — only to wake up completely unharmed. The inexplicable event leads to her being transferred to a secret division hidden within the Metropolitan Police Department known as the “Paranormal Investigation Room” (怪異調査室).
There, Ruri is partnered with her eccentric senior Sanzugawa Renka, a notoriously money-obsessed officer. The mismatched duo — Ruri desperate to reclaim her elite status and Renka perpetually fixated on profit — form the unlikely heart of this supernatural girl-meets-girl adventure.
Release Schedule
