Fans of Ghost in the Shell (攻殻機動隊) will soon be able to pick up a piece of the landmark 「攻殻機動隊展 Ghost and the Shell」 exhibition from home. A curated selection of the show’s exclusive merchandise will go on sale through ONLINE PARCO at 12:00 noon on Monday, 28 September 2026.
About the Exhibition
It has been 37 years since Shirow Masamune‘s original manga debuted in 1989, and in that time Ghost in the Shell has been reimagined by a succession of acclaimed directors — Mamoru Oshii, Kenji Kamiyama, Kazuchika Kise, and Shinji Aramaki — each bringing a distinct vision to the franchise.
The 「攻殻機動隊展 Ghost and the Shell」 exhibition was conceived to mark the 30th anniversary of the anime series, bringing every animated work together under one roof for the first time. Held across venues in Tokyo and Hyogo, the event drew a combined audience of more than 110,000 visitors.
Highlights included over 1,000 pieces of production material — original drawings, character design documents, storyboards, and previously unreleased items — alongside interactive installations and collaborative artworks by contemporary artists inspired by the series. The exhibition also featured a dedicated section for the upcoming new TV anime 『攻殻機動隊 THE GHOST IN THE SHELL』 from Science SARU.
