ภาพประชาสัมพันธ์นิทรรศการ 攻殻機動隊展 Ghost and the Shell รอบคันไซ ปี 2569

The exhibition 「攻殻機動隊展 Ghost and the Shell」 (Kokaku Kidotai Ten — Ghost and the Shell) is set to travel to the Kansai region, scheduled to run from July 17 to August 30, 2026 at the Gallery Building, 3rd Floor of the Hyogo Prefectural Museum of Art in Kobe.

From Tokyo to Kansai — The Largest Ghost in the Shell Exhibition Ever

This exhibition marks the largest-scale show in the history of the 攻殻機動隊 (Ghost in the Shell) franchise. The Tokyo run was held at TOKYO NODE GALLERY A/B/C from January 30 to April 5, and received an overwhelming response. The Kansai leg will carry forward key highlights from Tokyo while adding new content with several fresh sections of interest.

What to Experience at the Kansai Run

  • An archive of over 1,600 pieces covering works across the entire series that captivated audiences during the Tokyo run
  • Original production cels (原画) from the new anime 「攻殻機動隊 THE GHOST IN THE SHELL」, scheduled to premiere in July 2026 — presented exclusively for this run
  • Analog-Dig — an interactive activity where visitors use actual “cels” from the anime production to “dig up” original-drawing replica images to take home; the Kansai run removes the session limit, so you can play as much as you like
  • 笑い男になる鏡 “Laughing Man Mirror” — an AR mirror that uses augmented reality and programming to make the “Laughing Man” appear on your face in the venue
  • 電脳VISION — put on AR glasses and tour the exhibition alongside Tachikoma
