The new manga series Koushaku Reijou wa Shitatakami ni Unmei wo Kirihiraku (The Marquis’s Daughter Boldly Carves Her Own Fate), drawn by Koyukihara Sei and based on the original novel by Ikeda Seiko, began serialization on the digital manga platform Comic Seymour on July 3.
Story
Amelia is a highly capable daughter of a marquis family who manages her domain’s affairs with skill and dedication. Her greatest headache, however, is her childhood friend and fiancé Damian, whose chronic habit of infidelity has long tested her patience.
When Damian returns triumphant from the battlefield, he brings back a female prisoner of war from an enemy nation and installs her in his own mansion. When Amelia confronts him about his unfaithfulness, he brazenly tells her to simply look the other way — showing not a trace of remorse.
That is the final straw for Amelia. Just as she reaches her breaking point, a duke who oversees national affairs extends a helping hand, setting the stage for her to boldly forge a new destiny on her own terms.
