The July issue of Gundam Ace magazine, published by Kadokawa, has announced that Kozo Omori (Kozō Ōmori), a well-known manga artist in the Gundam fandom, will be launching a new Gundam manga series titled Shien wa Minovsky no Eikyo o Ukenai. A prologue chapter will appear in the magazine’s issue dated June 26, ahead of the full serialization beginning in the September issue, which goes on sale July 26.
Omori’s Previous Work in Gundam Ace
Omori is well known among Gundam fans for his manga adaptation of the anime Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative (Kidō Senshi Gundam NT), which ran in Gundam Ace from November 2018 and concluded in August 2025. Kadokawa compiled the series into 17 volumes, with the final volume released in November 2025.
In addition, Omori previously drew a manga adaptation of Mobile Suit Gundam 00 in Kadokawa’s Kerokero Ace magazine from 2007 to 2008, followed by a sequel adaptation, Mobile Suit Gundam 00 2nd.Season, from 2008 to 2009. Both series were published in English by Bandai Entertainment.
The UC Bande Dessinée Series
Omori also illustrated Mobile Suit Gundam UC Bande Dessinée, which ran in Gundam Ace from 2010 and concluded in December 2016, followed by Mobile Suit Gundam UC Bande Dessinée Episode:0, which launched in October 2017 and ended in October 2018.
