Fans of Kusuriya no Hitorigoto (The Apothecary Diaries) have a cool summer event to look forward to: a limited-time collaboration café themed “Hyoka no Ryo” (氷菓の涼 — The Chill of Frozen Sweets) opens at Share Café (洒落CAFE) locations in Tokyo, Osaka, and Fukuoka from Friday, July 24, to Sunday, August 9, 2026.
About Kusuriya no Hitorigoto
Kusuriya no Hitorigoto is a mega-hit mystery series set in an imperial rear palace, following Maomao, a sharp-witted young apothecary serving as a food taster who solves a string of baffling cases. The franchise has surpassed 45 million copies in cumulative sales across all formats and has earned a devoted fanbase of all ages thanks to its blend of genuine mystery, exotic atmosphere, and compelling human drama.
Following the conclusion of the TV anime Season 2 in July 2025, a Season 3 and a theatrical film were announced. Season 3 is scheduled to air from October 2026 in a split two-cour format, while the film is set for a December 2026 release.
Collab Menu: Icy Summer Treats
The café’s theme celebrates the coolness of summer frozen desserts, with newly drawn (描き下ろし) artwork of Maomao, Jinshi (壬氏), and other characters dressed in refreshing summer attire and holding collab menu items.
The food and drink lineup is designed to beat the heat, featuring character-inspired kakigori (shaved ice) and sodas. Each item comes with a special bonus:
- Drink orders include a character acrylic charm
- Food orders include a character decorative pick
- Every collab menu item ordered earns one random original coaster (6 designs total)
Exclusive Merchandise
A range of original goods using the new collab artwork will be sold both in-store and online via the Anique Shop, including:

For every ¥3,300 (tax included) spent on eligible merchandise, customers receive one random original bromide photo card (4 designs total). Note that the designs distributed in-store differ from those available through the web shop.

Seat reservations operate on a first-come, first-served basis and opened on July 2, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. Reservations can be made up to one hour before opening on the desired visit date. Walk-in spots may be available if reserved slots remain open — check with staff on the day.
Each guest may order one of each menu item (up to six items total per person). Merchandise purchase limits may apply depending on stock. Online sales via Anique Shop run from July 24, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. to August 24, 2026 at 10:00 a.m.
