The Apothecary Diaries fans, get ready. Maomao and Jinshi, two of the series’ most popular characters, will appear in a new Ichiban Kuji, a no-lose lottery. It will go on sale at convenience stores such as Lawson, Ministop, and Daily Yamazaki, as well as bookstores and hobby shops, from June 5, 2026.
About The Apothecary Diaries
The original work is written by Natsu Hyuuga and published under the Hero Bunko label. It follows Maomao, a young poison tester in the rear palace who is given work by the beautiful eunuch Jinshi, yet continues to solve mysteries with sharp insight. The work has also been adapted into two manga versions in Monthly Big GanGan and Monthly Sunday GX.
The first television anime season aired in October 2023 for 24 episodes and won a special award at the TVer Awards 2023. Season 2 began airing in January 2025 across two consecutive cours, and both a third season and the series’ first theatrical film have already been announced.
Ichiban Kuji Prize Highlights
The highlight of this Ichiban Kuji lineup is that Maomao and Jinshi wear special original outfits never seen in the anime before. Prize highlights include:

- Prize C – Acrylic Stand: Uses the same outfit theme as Prize B and lets winners choose their preferred character.
- Prize D – Chokonokko Figure: Cute rounded figures about 4.5 cm tall, with four types available at random. Maomao and Jinshi each come with two different expressions.
- Prize E – Embroidered Tin Badge: A stylish design with an embroidered look.
- Prize F – Jacquard Towel: Practical for everyday use.
- Prize G – Illustration Plate: Sized well for display.
- Prize H – Stationery Assortment: Choose from notebooks, sticky notes, or clear files with stickers.
The person who draws the final ticket will receive the Last One Prize – Maomao MASTERLISE OP Color Ver., a special figure colored with glittery tones inspired by the memorable opening sequence of anime season 1.

Ichiban Kuji TV Anime “The Apothecary Diaries” will go on sale from June 5, 2026 at Lawson, Ministop, Daily Yamazaki, other convenience stores, bookstores, hobby shops, and Ichiban Kuji Official Shop locations. Online sales through Ichiban Kuji ONLINE will open on June 8, 2026 at 5:00 p.m. JST. Each draw costs 770 yen, tax included.
