The television anime adaptation of Byū‘s horror-comedy manga Let’s Go Kaikigumi revealed its full trailer, key visual, theme songs, and a new cast member on Saturday.
Theme Songs
The trailer previews the opening theme “Kimi ga Waruindakara ne” (“‘Cuz It’s Creepy, Right?”) performed by idol group SWEET STEADY, and the ending theme “Iwashite ne?” (“May You Curse Me?”) performed by Uketsu.
New Cast Member
Kana Hanazawa has been announced as the voice of Yukinko.
Story
The manga follows a cowardly, unnamed protagonist whose life is turned upside down when he crosses paths with Mechako, the leader of the “Kaikigumi” — an organization responsible for managing the ghosts and supernatural beings that frighten humans. He inadvertently becomes involved in the Kaikigumi’s revival, after which one bizarre (if not particularly terrifying) supernatural incident after another begins occurring around him.
Byū serialized the original manga on the Omocoro web service from 2018 to 2024.
