Cast and Artist Comments
Natsuki Hanae (Yokoya) said he is thrilled to portray such an important character in the series, describing the recording sessions as fulfilling and creatively stimulating. He encouraged fans to look forward to seeing what strategies Yokoya employs against Nao and Akiyama.
Junya Hirano (Akagi) shared that he was a devoted reader of the original manga and is overjoyed to now participate in its world as a performer, promising to deliver the same nerve-wracking psychological tension he felt as a fan.
Tomohiro Yamaguchi (Ikezoe) joked that playing the role left him with a deep distrust of people, while inviting viewers to enjoy the high-stakes game where a single wrong choice can change everything.
Kengo Tsujii (Shibayama) admitted he would probably be outwitted immediately if he were ever thrown into such a situation himself, but assured fans that the series is genuinely entertaining.
Rego Yamaguchi (Tajima) humorously noted that his mother always told him never to lie — a promise he suspects he can no longer keep after joining this production.
Ryumaru Tachibana (Tsumura) said he had followed LIAR GAME through its live-action drama adaptation and is excited to be part of the anime version, predicting that the anime-original direction will surprise viewers.
Seiyu Fujiwara (Hasegawa) recalled first encountering LIAR GAME through the live-action film over a decade ago, and expressed amazement at now being able to appear in the anime adaptation.
Kikunosuke Toya (Murata) was enthusiastic about joining the “Night Country” team and declared his intention to claim the grand prize.
Nobуya Takahashi (Wada) said the game mechanics required serious mental effort to grasp, and gave a light-hearted shout-out to Junya Hirano and Natsuki Hanae for keeping the recording atmosphere lively with their performances.
On the music side, Kroi revealed that the band has long been fans of LIAR GAME — one member even owned the special playing-card deck bundled with the drama’s DVD box set — and crafted “All in” to capture the series’ distinctive tension and psychological complexity through dark, distorted sound layered over melodic lines. muque explained that “Tarinai” channels the deep-seated emptiness and loneliness carried by the character Akiyama, hoping the song will resonate with viewers as they sit with the story’s emotional weight.
