The anime film LUPIN THE IIIRD THE MOVIE 不死身の血族 (The Immortal Bloodline), based on the original work by Monkey Punch, is set to arrive for unlimited streaming exclusively on Prime Video from 27 June.
The First 2D Theatrical Anime in Nearly 30 Years
This work debuted in theaters in June 2025 as the first 2D big-screen anime of the Lupin the Third franchise in about 30 years, with a story positioned as the “origin point” that ties into every entry in the series.
Synopsis
Lupin the Third and his companions set off by air toward a “mysterious island” that appears on no world map, aiming to expose the mastermind who has been sending assassins after them — and to find the vast treasure hidden there. But their plane is shot down and forced to make an emergency landing on that “island of death.”
Standing in their way is Muom, the island’s owner, an ambitious man bent on ruling the world — and most terrifying of all, his body cannot be destroyed by bullet or blade. Lupin must summon all his wits and his pride as a professional thief to defeat this immortal enemy in a battle of intellect.
