Bandai Namco Filmworks announced last Sunday that the compilation film based on the TV anime series Maebashi Witches will open during the fall season of this year. The announcement also revealed the film’s teaser visual and full title: 劇場版 前橋ウィッチーズ 魔女見習いのエモエモリーズ, or Gekijoban Maebashi Witches: Majo Minarai no Emoemories (Maebashi Witches Emoemories: Blooming Witches).

The original TV anime series premiered in April 2025, with Crunchyroll streaming it simultaneously alongside its Japanese broadcast.

Synopsis

The story is set in the city of Maebashi, Gunma Prefecture, following five high school girls in their final year. The protagonist is Yuina Akagi, a first-year student who leads an ordinary daily life but feels that something is still missing — until a mysterious spirit named Keropope appears and invites her and four other friends to become the “Maebashi Witches” on the spot. A wardrobe in the classroom turns out to be a gateway to a mystical realm, and the five of them travel to a special flower shop where they can sing, dance, and make people’s wishes come true.
