Bandai Namco Filmworks announced on Sunday that the second cour of Mahō no Shimai Lulutto Lilly (Magical Sisters Lulutto Lilly), its magical girl television anime co-produced with Studio Pierrot, will begin airing in October. The announcement came alongside a new teaser visual and the reveal of an additional cast member.

New Cast Member

Miyari Nemoto joins the series as Asahi Araki, an idol otaku and devoted fan of Lily who successfully auditions and joins Production Once More as a new idol.

Story

The anime follows sisters and Rui Nonoyama, who were once very close but have lately grown apart. Everything changes when Fū stumbles upon a mysterious spaceship and gains magical powers — and simultaneously, Rui acquires the same. Both are able to transform into the adult versions of themselves they’ve always dreamed of becoming. However, their powers come with two strict conditions: the magic can only be used for one year, and no one must ever find out. Unaware that the other shares the same secret, Fū and Rui each step into the spotlight as idols — Lilly Konpeto and Lulu Mashū, respectively.
