The popular fantasy romance manga Maronie Oukoku no Shichinin no Kishi by Nao Iwamoto has officially been confirmed for a TV anime adaptation. It is scheduled to air on NHK Eテレ in October 2026. The first teaser visual and production staff have also been revealed.
About the Story
Maronie Oukoku no Shichinin no Kishi is a fantasy romance set in the Kingdom of Maronie, located at the center of eight nations. The story follows seven knight brothers who are sent as envoys to different countries, each setting out on an adventure to find his destined partner. The work ranked No. 1 in the women’s manga category of Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2018 and has been serialized in Monthly Flowers (Shogakukan) since 2016. Volume 11, the latest volume, will be released on June 10 alongside the “Maronie Oukoku no Shichinin no Kishi STICKER BOOK”.

Teaser Visual and Special Video
The newly revealed teaser visual shows all seven knight brothers: eldest brother Nemukunai, second brother Hakuai, third brother Atsugari, fourth brother Samugari, fifth brother Kemono Tsukai, sixth brother Tsurugi Jiman, and youngest brother Harapeko. Marronnier flowers also decorate the image. A special video celebrating the anime announcement has been available on the anime’s official website since June 1 at 5:30 p.m.

The Maronie Oukoku no Shichinin no Kishi anime is scheduled to air on NHK Eテレ in October 2026.
