Japanese fashion brand MAYLA — known for its tagline “raises your body temperature by 2°C” — has unveiled the Card Captor Sakura Iconic Blouse, a special collection inspired by the school uniforms and iconic costumes of Kinomoto Sakura from the beloved series Card Captor Sakura. About Card Captor Sakura
Card Captor Sakura is a shojo manga serialized in Nakayoshi magazine from June 1996 to August 2000, following Sakura’s adventures as a “Card Captor” tasked with collecting the Clow Cards, mystical cards said to bring disaster to the world. The manga ran for 12 collected volumes, with a special 9-volume edition released for Nakayoshi’s 60th anniversary.
An anime adaptation aired on NHK from 1998 to 2000, spanning three seasons — the first two covering the Clow Card Arc and the third the Sakura Card Arc. In 2016, marking the series’ 20th anniversary, a new chapter titled Card Captor Sakura: Clear Card launched and ran for over seven and a half years, concluding at 80 chapters (16 volumes). In 2023, the series’ 25th anime anniversary, an anime continuation of the Clear Card arc was officially announced.
