Graphic design company TORCH announced on Wednesday that its Mazenchu character brand is getting an anime adaptation. The series will launch on October 7 as the first original anime segment to air within Kansai TV‘s morning news and lifestyle program Yoidon!
Story
Mazenchu is set in a school where all manner of food-based characters live out their youth together — forging friendships, rivalries, and bittersweet romances along the way.

Staff
The Mazenchu characters were originally created by Ebi. Yūsuke Takase — known for his CG work on Berserk: The Golden Age Arc I – The Egg of the King, Halo Legends, and Detroit Metal City — is directing the anime at Studio Nanahoshi.
