Fans of the anime 「名探偵プリキュア！」 (Meitantei Precure!) are about to get a long-awaited answer. The true identity of the mysterious Precure Cure Éclair will be revealed in episode 25, which airs on July 19.
Although Cure Éclair has appeared in the series’ main key visual since the beginning, her identity has remained a secret, leading to widespread discussion and speculation among fans. Starting with episode 21, the series officially entered the “Cure Éclair Arc.”
Four Suspect Characters
The production team has selected four characters as possible candidates for Cure Éclair:
- Hoba Kurea (CV: Hasegawa Ikumi) – A 16-year-old girl who works as a patissier at Patisserie Chuchu
- Kurusu Eliza (CV: Akechi Riko) – A 17-year-old up-and-coming mystery novelist who is still in high school
- Kaneda Rei (CV: Lynn) – A 15-year-old student council president at the private Makoto Mirai Gakuen
- Ieiiri Shiruku (CV: Murakami Natsumi) – A 16-year-old rising actress from the Heisei era who is currently drawing attention

Guessing Vote: Who Is Cure Éclair?
Alongside the broadcast, the staff has opened a voting campaign titled 「『名探偵プリキュア！』キュアエクレールの正体は誰!?」, letting fans guess who Cure Éclair really is. Voting is available once per day through a special website from June 21 at 8:00 a.m. until July 19 at 8:00 a.m.
In addition to online voting, ballot boxes will be installed at locations across Japan. Fans who vote at event venues will receive one random “voting confirmation card” (投票済証) from five designs: the four candidate characters plus Cure Éclair.

- Osaka: Precure Pretty Store Osaka branch (main store), “Meitantei Precure! Issho ni Nazotoki! Hanamaru Kaiketsu Festival” (weekends only)

- Saitama: Precure Pretty Store Koshigaya Lake Town branch
- Aichi: Precure Pretty Store Nagoya branch
- Shizuoka: “Odekake! Precure Marché” Hamamatsu venue (June 27 – July 12)
Customers who purchase goods at Precure Pretty Store or the Odekake! Precure Marché Hamamatsu event will receive both a ballot and a voting confirmation card. The Osaka festival will offer special visitor benefits, a ballot, and a voting confirmation card, while Toei Animation Museum will give ballots and voting confirmation cards to visiting children.
Catch-Up Streaming and LINE Stickers
Fans who miss the broadcast can watch episodes 21-24 on the official Precure YouTube channel and TVer from July 12 at 9:00 a.m. to July 26 at 8:59 a.m.
Official LINE stickers for “Meitantei Precure!” also went on sale through the LINE STORE on June 12.
