Following the second mysterious incident involving the “Medicine Seller” inside the inner palace (Ooku), a new upheaval erupts. When a young woman is found dead under suspicious and bizarre circumstances, the Mononoke that appears this time seems to embody the dark, concealed history of the Ooku itself — and the Medicine Seller (Kusuriya) must confront the most formidable supernatural force he has ever encountered.
