The September issue of Monthly Princess (Akita Shoten), which went on sale on August 6, launches three brand-new manga series simultaneously: Boku no Heika ni Natte Kudasai ~Gakuen Kokka Kakumei Zenya~ by Kuroi Shirafu, Oni ni Hirowareta Hanayome by Yamanoneji, and Mashiro Ojousama wa Kanpeki Shitsuji wo Kōryaku Dekinai! by Pyaa.
Boku no Heika ni Natte Kudasai ~Gakuen Kokka Kakumei Zenya~ (Please Be My Sovereign ~Eve of the School-State Revolution~)
Opening the issue with a color lead spread, this series is set at Seion Academy, a school governed by a student-elected “Emperor” who holds absolute authority. Two factions are locked in conflict: the authoritarian RED, which holds power under the current Emperor, and the minority resistance group BLUE, determined to overthrow RED’s tyranny. The story kicks off when a transfer student named Yukari Murasaki arrives at the school.
Oni ni Hirowareta Hanayome (The Bride Taken In by the Oni)
This series is a Japanese-style marriage tale (wafū konin-tan) pairing a sacrificial girl with a solitary oni. Kosame, a girl with snow-white hair and skin who is shunned as an ill omen, volunteers herself as a sacrifice to an oni said to bring calamity. But when she is attacked by a bear in a freezing winter forest, it is the young oni Jin who comes to her rescue — setting the stage for an unlikely bond.
Mashiro Ojousama wa Kanpeki Shitsuji wo Kōryaku Dekinai! (Miss Mashiro Can’t Win Over Her Perfect Butler!)
A lighthearted love comedy featuring the flawless young lady of the Himetsubaki household, Mashiro, and the apprentice butler she adores, Natsuya. The series follows Mashiro’s increasingly creative — and consistently unsuccessful — attempts to capture Natsuya’s heart. The debut installment ran two chapters back-to-back.
Also in This Issue
Jodan’shaku no Niwashi (Baroness no Gardener), drawn by Tomisaa from a story by Shisotanuki, concludes its run in this issue. The third and final compiled volume will be released digitally on October 15. The issue also comes with a special “Ouke no Monshou” Royal Heart Lamé Seal sticker sheet.
