The official X/Twitter account for the Mr. Osomatsu anime announced on Friday that episode 13 of season 4, titled “The Matsuno Ten,” has begun streaming in Japan after previously not airing on television. The episode will also air on TV Tokyo’s network of channels on June 13 at 9:30 a.m. local time. Crunchyroll began streaming the episode with English subtitles on Thursday.
The episode was not broadcast with the other episodes of season 4 during the summer 2025 season. Instead, it screened in theaters for the first time from June 6-11 as part of the “10th ANNIVERSARY OSOMATSUSAN SPECIAL 6DAYS” event celebrating the franchise’s 10th anniversary.
Cast and Staff
The returning voice cast for the six Matsuno brothers includes Takahiro Sakurai, Yuichi Nakamura, Hiroshi Kamiya, Jun Fukuyama, Daisuke Ono, and Miyu Irino.
On the staff side, Yoshinori Odaka, who directed episodes in seasons 1 and 3 and also directed the film Osomatsu-san ~Hipipo-Zoku to Kagayaku Kajitsu~, directs season 4 at Pierrot Films. Shu Matsubara returns to handle series scripts, while Eiji Abiko is in charge of character design.
Theme Songs
The opening theme for this season is “Osomatsu-san no Bomba Sheeh!” by dance and b-boy group DA PUMP. The title references the brothers’ signature exclamation “Sheeh!” Rapper m.c.A·T wrote the Japanese lyrics for the cover song. The ending theme is “Buddy”, performed by Hitomi from Atarayo together with the six Matsuno brothers, with Seiji Kameda composing, arranging, and writing the lyrics.
About Mr. Osomatsu
The Mr. Osomatsu anime is inspired by Fujio Akatsuka’s original manga Osomatsu-kun, a high-energy comedy about the mischievous sextuplet sons of the Matsuno family. In the original version, the six boys are 10 years old and all have a crush on the same girl, Totoko. Mr. Osomatsu brings the characters back as adults.
The TV anime has aired three previous seasons, in 2015, 2017, and 2020, and the film Eiga no Osomatsu-san opened in 2019. The franchise also includes several short anime projects and two live-action films, with the second live-action film opening in Japan on Friday.
For its newer anime film projects, the franchise announced in June 2021 that two new anime films would screen for limited theatrical runs in 2022 and 2023: Osomatsu-san ~Hipipo-Zoku to Kagayaku Kajitsu~ in July 2022 and Osomatsu-san: Tamashii no Takoyaki Party to Densetsu no Otomari-kai in July 2023.
The franchise also has a character goods line called Matsuinu, inspired by dog versions of the characters. It led to a short anime that premiered in October 2023, and in 2024 the fan club received four special short anime episodes to celebrate its fifth anniversary.
