The staff of Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation III (無職転生 III) revealed the anime’s third promotional video on Thursday. The key highlight of the video is the announcement and debut of the season’s ending theme song.

Ending Song “Inori, Owareba” by Mika Nakashima

The ending song is titled “Inori, Owareba” (When the Prayer Ends) and is performed by popular singer Mika Nakashima. The lyrics and composition are by Shinoda, guitarist and vocalist of the rock band Hitorie. Fans may remember that Hitorie previously performed the second opening theme of season 2, “On The Frontline”.

This season’s opening theme is titled “Ketsui no Uta” (Song of Determination) and is performed by Yuiko Ohara.

Story and Broadcast Schedule

The third season continues from the “Eris Training Arc”, which begins in volume 13 of the original novel series.

The anime will begin airing on Tokyo MX and BS11 on July 5 at 24:00 (midnight on July 5), followed by broadcasts on Sun TV and KBS Kyoto.

Synopsis

A 34-year-old shut-in is thrown out by his family and left wandering the streets, only to be killed after being hit by a truck. He then awakens as a baby in a world of swords and magic, with all his memories from his previous life intact. Rudeus Greyrat resolves not to repeat his past mistakes and sets out to live his second life to the fullest.

Original Work and Anime History

The original novel is written by Rifujin na Magonote. It was published on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website from 2012 to 2015 before MF Books, an imprint of Kadokawa, began publishing it in print in 2014. Volume 26 was released in November 2022.

The first anime season was split into two parts, with the first part airing in January 2021 and the second in October 2021. It is currently available on Crunchyroll and Hulu, along with the special OVA episode “Eris the Goblin Slayer”.

Season 2 aired across two cours. The first half premiered on Tokyo MX in July 2023, and the second half began in April 2024. Crunchyroll streamed the season alongside its Japanese broadcast.

Upcoming Mobile Game

A free-to-play 3D RPG titled Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation – Chronicle of Echoes has also been announced for release this year. Gree Entertainment is planning and publishing the game, while Asobimo is developing and operating it.
