A brand-new My Hero Academia (僕のヒーローアカデミア) Chara Pop Store is set to open on August 7, 2026 at Bandai Namco Cross Store Atre Akihabara in Tokyo, kicking off a nationwide tour with freshly drawn merchandise centered on a charming onigiri theme.
New Onigiri-Themed Visual & Merchandise
The event’s centerpiece is an all-new original illustration depicting Izuku Midoriya (Deku), Katsuki Bakugo, Ochaco Uraraka, Shoto Todoroki, Shota Aizawa, and Best Jeanist happily munching on onigiri (Japanese rice balls). The artwork has been turned into a wide range of goods, including:
- Acrylic stands
- Can badge collections
- Clear card collections
- Card cases
Throwback Goods from 2017–2023
Alongside the new items, the store will also sell goods using original visuals from past Chara Pop Store events held between 2017 and 2023. These include card-style acrylic stands and foil acrylic keychains, each featuring designs unique to the year they were originally produced.
Mini-Game: THE ROLLING RICE BALL!!!
Visitors can also take part in the in-store mini-game 「THE ROLLING RICE BALL!!!」, a garapon (lottery) where every play guarantees one of three exclusive prizes:
- Prize A: Foil acrylic board
- Prize B: Acrylic keychain
- Prize C: Scene photo dialogue sheet
One play costs ¥600 (tax included).
Tour Schedule
After the Akihabara run (August 7 – September 27, 2026), the Chara Pop Store will travel to:
- namco Umeda (Osaka)
- Bandai Namco Cross Store Hakata (Fukuoka)
- Bandai Namco Cross Store Sendai (Miyagi)
Fans who cannot attend in person can purchase the original goods via the Premium Bandai online store during April 5–26, 2027.
About My Hero Academia
My Hero Academia is a hero-action manga by Kohei Horikoshi, serialized in Weekly Shonen Jump for nearly a decade before concluding in August 2024. The TV anime adaptation launched in April 2016, and its eighth and final season — My Hero Academia FINAL SEASON — aired its last episode (the 170th overall) on December 13, 2025. With the anime celebrating its 10th anniversary in 2026, the commemorative project 「My Hero Academia The Animation 10th Anniversary」 is now underway with events rolling out throughout the year.
