The official X (formerly Twitter) account for the manga Nabe ni Dangan wo Ukenagara (also known as Nabetama) announced on Thursday that the series will receive a television anime adaptation produced by J.C. Staff, slated to premiere in 2027. A teaser visual for the upcoming anime was also unveiled alongside the announcement.
About the Manga
Described as a “non-fiction,” chaotic, and hardcore gourmet report manga, the series follows Juntarō — a beautiful girl(?) — as she ventures into dangerous corners of the world in search of strange yet irresistible local cuisine. Her ultimate goal is to accumulate 50,000 points of deliciousness.
Publication History
The manga launched in 2021 on Kadokawa’s Comic Newtype web manga magazine. Kadokawa released the first compiled volume in January 2022, with the fifth volume following in October 2024. The series also earned a spot in the top 20 manga for male readers in Takarajimasha’s Kono Manga ga Sugoi! (This Manga Is Amazing!) 2023 guidebook.
