The staff behind the television anime adaptation of Umikaze Minamino‘s light novel series Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden (Kyōran Reijō Nia Liston: Byōjaku Reijō ni Tenseishita Kami-goroshi no Bujin no Kareinaru Musō Roku) has announced the show’s ending theme song, along with a new visual.
Ending Theme and Magic Vision Girls Party
The ending theme is titled “Tokimeki Un・Deux・Trois♪” (“Heart Fluttering 1, 2, 3♪”), performed by the in-universe musical unit Magic Vision Girls Party (Magic Vision Hirome-Tai). The unit is made up of three characters: Nia Liston (voiced by Honoka Inoue), Hildetora Altoir (voiced by Rina Honnizumi), and Reliared Silver (voiced by Rina Hidaka). A new visual featuring the unit was released alongside the announcement.
The opening theme, “Respawn!!”, is performed by VTuber Tsunomaki Watame.
Story Synopsis
A great hero dies undefeated, lamenting that she never found a worthy opponent. Wishing she had fallen in battle rather than peacefully, she suddenly awakens in the body of the young, frail Nia Liston. Given a second chance at life, she sets her sights on one goal: to live — and die — for battle. Make way for the Merciless Maiden!

Broadcast and Streaming
The anime premieres on October 6 on Tokyo MX at 9:25 p.m. JST, followed by BS NTV and MBS. It is scheduled to run for two consecutive cours. Domestic streaming will be available on ABEMA, d Anime Store, and U-NEXT. International viewers can watch via HIDIVE as it airs. An advance screening of the first three episodes was held at the esports TOKYO BAY studio.
Source Material
Minamino originally serialized the story on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website from 2019 to 2021. Hobby Japan began publishing the print novel series with illustrations by Jishaku in September 2022; illustrator Katana Canata took over from the third volume in 2023, with both artists credited for the anime’s original character designs. The 12th volume is due out on October 1. J-Novel Club publishes the novels digitally in English.
A manga adaptation by Kabuto Kodai has been running on Square Enix’s Manga UP! service since 2022. The first compiled volume was released in May 2023, and the ninth volume arrives on October 7. The manga is available in English via Manga UP! Global.
