The upcoming TV anime Ojisan wa Kawaii Mono ga Osuki. (lit. “My Uncle Loves Cute Things”) has released a new promotional video alongside its full voice cast lineup and insert song information. The series is set to begin broadcasting in October 2026.
About the Series
The show is a heartwarming comedy following the everyday life of Koji Miki, a 41-year-old man who projects a cool, dependable image at work but secretly harbors an intense love for all things cute. The story celebrates adults who stay true to what they love, no matter what others might think.
New PV and Original Story
The newly released PV offers the first animated look at Koji’s daily struggle to keep his passion hidden, bringing the characters to life for the first time. The video also unveils a fully original story for “Pug-taro & Friends” — a grand adventure featuring Pug-taro, Koji’s beloved character, alongside companions Bosukichi, An, Carrie, and Grepi. The footage captures the series’ signature blend of humor and warmth.
The PV also includes a partial preview of the insert song 「パグっといっちゃって～」 (Pug tto Itchatte~), performed by Pug-taro & Friends.

Kazuyuki Okitsu (Koji Miki)
I’ve been cast as “Koji Miki, age 41” — the uncle himself! He’s a man who absolutely adores cute things, but cares too much about appearances to shout “SO CUTE!!!!” out loud. He tries so hard to live a proper life that people end up seeing him as a cool, handsome older guy. I gave everything I had to both sides of this character. I truly hope everyone comes to love him.
Miyu Tomita (Pug-taro)
I’m playing Pug-taro! I’d actually spotted him around town before I ever got involved with this project, so when I passed the audition I was genuinely shocked — I couldn’t believe I’d get to voice him. I personally feel like the world is overflowing with cute things, so I relate to everything in “Ojikawa” completely. Since Pug-taro expresses every emotion entirely in “Pug language,” I had to dig into parts of myself I’d never opened before during recording. I’m certain this show will bring comfort to everyone’s daily lives — please look forward to it!
