The beloved character Opanchu Usagi (おぱんちゅうさぎ) is heading back to retail with a limited-run “CANDY PANICHU!” POP UP SHOP, set to take place at LaLaport Ebina, 3F in front of GU, from September 14 to 25, 2026.
A Crowd-Pleasing Return
This event marks the return of a POP UP SHOP that previously toured Tokyo, Osaka, and South Korea to enthusiastic reception. The concept centers on an all-new, specially drawn illustration (描き下ろし) depicting Opanchu Usagi working inside a candy factory, rendered in a vivid, pop-art style. A wide range of original merchandise featuring this artwork will be available throughout the run.

Additional items using the CANDY PANICHU! artwork will also be on sale at the venue.
Special Event: Opanchu Usagi Costume Appearance — September 21
On September 21, 2026, the shop will host an Opanchu Usagi costume character event with the following schedule:
- 11:00 AM — Greeting session
- 1:00 PM & 3:00 PM — Photo sessions
To participate in the photo sessions, attendees must present a receipt showing a purchase of ¥1,000 or more from the POP UP SHOP during the event period. Numbered queue tickets for all time slots will be distributed starting at 9:30 AM on the day of the event at the Hiroba-guchi Entrance of LaLaport Ebina.
Purchase Bonus: Mini Can Badge Gacha
Throughout the event, customers who spend ¥3,300 (tax included) or more in a single purchase will receive one spin of a bonus gacha to win a mini can badge (ミニ缶バッジ). There are 6 random designs available, offered on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last.
