The TV anime Otome Kaijuu Caramelise (乙女怪獣キャラメリゼ) is gearing up for its broadcast on TBS and BS11 in July 2026. The production team has released new visuals from the anime and announced a special pre-broadcast theatrical screening event.
About the Series
The series is adapted from the manga by Aoki Spica, which has been serialized in KADOKAWA’s “Monthly Comic Alive” since 2018 and has been compiled into 9 volumes with a cumulative print run of over 230,000 copies.
The story follows Kuroe Akaoi, a high school girl who suffers from a mysterious condition she cannot explain — her body partially transforms into a kaiju monster whenever her emotions surge. Resigned to isolating herself and avoiding social interaction, fate conspires to make her fall for Shintaro Minami, the most popular boy in their class. When her heart begins to race, the hidden power bottled up inside her is unleashed, giving rise to a living kaiju called Harugon. The battle between love and self-control creates a chaotic and delightful romantic comedy in the style of ラブコメ × 怪獣 (Love Comedy × Kaijuu), the likes of which has never been seen before.
New Visuals from the Anime
The newly released visuals give viewers a taste of Kuroe’s heart-fluttering youth and the gigantic, one-of-a-kind presence of Harugon, the monster at the heart of the series, making fans even more eager for the broadcast.
Pre-Broadcast Special Screening Event
Before the anime begins its TV broadcast, the team has announced a special theatrical screening of Episodes 1 and 2 on the big screen, with four main cast members appearing at the stage greeting event:

Attendees will receive a special Otome Kaijuu Caramelise clear file as an exclusive gift, with the design to be kept secret until the day of the event. It will be a special item available only at this first theatrical screening.
