Lotte’s snack brand Pai no Mi (パイの実) is officially entering the world of anime with “Pai no Mi: Oshi no Mori e Youkoso!” (パイの実 おしの森へようこそ！ – Welcome to the Oshi Forest). The anime will stream on Lotte’s official YouTube channel from June 4, 2026 at 12:00 a.m., with one episode per month for a total of eight episodes.
Project Background
The anime is part of the “Pai no Mi Oshi no Mori Project”, which combines the world of the “Pai no Mi Forest” with modern “oshi-katsu” culture, or supporting one’s favorite idol or character. The first phase of the project released 64 four-panel manga strips and various products, while this anime marks the second phase.
Cast and Characters
The main cast includes Yumiko Kobayashi as the squirrel “Pile” and Rie Hikisaka as the squirrel “Roxy.” Several other voice actors will also voice forest characters:

Creative Staff
The original concept was developed by Mankyū, Yuko Kakihara, Aya Matsui, and Shin-Ei Animation. Direction and animation are handled by Kazunori Minagawa and Miki Minagawa. Scripts are written by Yuko Kakihara and Azusa Serikawa, music is handled by Misaki Mase, and overall animation production is supervised by TOHO animation STUDIO.
“Pai no Mi Numaka Keikaku” Plan
Alongside the anime launch, the team announced the “Pai no Mi Numaka Keikaku”, a follow-up project tied to the anime. Its first phase includes production of the anime’s theme song, “Pai shika Katan! Oshi no Morikatsu”, performed and written by Koyui Ambo, with composition and arrangement by Misaki Mase. Additional plans include an experience collaboration with karaoke chain Pasela, special menu items, merchandise sales, and promotional videos shown in theaters.

Koyui Ambo (singer and lyricist): “I have loved eating snacks since I was a child, and I was given the chance to write lyrics and sing for Pai no Mi, a snack I have always eaten. I feel both nervous and very happy! It was my first time writing lyrics, but I poured all my love for this snack into a fun song that I want everyone to listen to, dance to, and hum along with!”
Misaki Mase (composer and arranger): “I am so happy to write a song for Pai no Mi, which I eat while working. The ASMR ‘saku’ sound in the song was recorded by actually eating Pai no Mi myself. It was delicious!! I hope everyone enjoys the snack, the anime, and the song.”
Yuki Kubota (Lotte marketing): “Pai no Mi has been loved by customers for 48 years, and recently we have received questions on social media such as, ‘Does the squirrel on the package have a name?’ and ‘I want to know more about the Pai no Mi Forest.’ That led us to give names, voices, and stories to the characters that have long appeared on the packaging. I hope this anime makes snack time a little more fun and helps Pai no Mi stay part of everyone’s daily life.”
