ภาพ Key Visual นิทรรศการ 寄生獣展 (Parasyte Exhibition) ปี 2569 ที่โยโกฮามา

Parasyte (寄生獣) fans, get ready! The special exhibition “寄生獣展”, gathering more than 400 original drawings by creator Hitoshi Iwaaki, will open from June 6 to 21, 2026, at YOKOHAMA COAST in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. The key visual, along with the second and third waves of merchandise, has now been revealed.

Looking Back at Parasyte, a Manga Legend Spanning More Than Three Decades

Parasyte began serialization in Kodansha’s Afternoon magazine in 1990. The story follows alien parasitic organisms that invade human bodies, take over their brains, and begin hunting other humans. High school student Shinichi Izumi is targeted, but the parasite that enters his body instead settles in his right hand and names itself “Migi”, beginning a strange relationship with Shinichi.

The manga ended in 1995 and has surpassed 25 million copies in circulation worldwide. It was later adapted into a TV anime, live-action films, and a live-action series. The TV anime aired under the title Parasyte -the maxim- (寄生獣 セイの格率) from October 2014, starring Nobunaga Shimazaki as Shinichi Izumi and Aya Hirano as Migi, with animation production by Madhouse.

Exhibition Highlights: Original Art and Special Tribute Shikishi by Famous Creators

At “寄生獣展,” visitors can experience real original manuscript art personally drawn by Hitoshi Iwaaki in fine detail, showing the energy and skill of the artist in a way ordinary printing cannot reproduce.
