To mark the 30th anniversary of the Kidou Keisatsu Patlabor (Mobile Police Patlabor) OVA series — and with a brand-new theatrical anime on the horizon — Shogakukan’s business and lifestyle magazine DIME, itself celebrating its 40th anniversary, has launched a line of premium collaboration items inspired by the Patlabor universe. The first wave is now available through Shogakukan’s official online store, Shogakukan Hyakkaten.
Patlabor EZY Chapter 2 Heads to Theaters in August 2026
The collab arrives ahead of Kidou Keisatsu Patlabor EZY File 2, the second of three chapters (eight episodes total) in the all-new anime, scheduled for theatrical release on August 14, 2026. The production is directed by Izubuchi Yutaka, with series composition and scripts by Itou Kazunori, original character designs by Yuuki Masami, and costume design support from Takada Akemi. The voice cast includes Uesaka Sumire, Toya Kikunosuke, Koshimizu Ami, Kobayashi Chikahiro, Satou Setsuji, Matsumura Yume, and Hayashibara Megumi.
Wave 1, Item 1: Victorinox × Shinohara Heavy Industries Field Master
The first item is the Victorinox “Kidou Keisatsu Patlabor EZY” Shinohara Heavy Industries Field Master — a dream crossover between the fictional Shinohara Heavy Industries and the real-world pioneer of multi-tools. The body is rendered in translucent clear blue with the Shinohara logo, making it equally at home in daily use or on display. It packs 15 functions, including a blade, bottle opener, scissors, flathead screwdriver, wire stripper, and saw, covering everything from everyday tasks to light outdoor work.

The second item is the “Kidou Keisatsu Patlabor EZY” Special Vehicles Section 2 Trunk Toolbox T-190, a 30th-anniversary limited edition produced by Toyo Steel, Japan’s leading manufacturer of metal toolboxes. Conceived as “the toolbox issued to Division 2’s maintenance crew,” the lid features maintenance-crew-inspired artwork and the inscription “MADE IN SHINOHARA”, immersing owners in the world of Patlabor right down to the details. Built to professional-grade durability standards, it works equally well for tools, garage supplies, outdoor gear, or collectibles.
