The BL light anime Perfect Addiction, adapted from the manga by Miyama Kaoruko, has unveiled its official key visual and announced the main voice cast, with the official website going live on the same day.
Story
Perfect Addiction follows Kuji Akihito, a well-known playboy student, and Takatsuki Zao, his classmate who is handsome and has plenty of admirers but keeps people at arm’s length. Akihito has never been interested in posturing or in using Zao’s good looks as a starting point, yet one day he happens upon Zao in the middle of a situation with some guy in the hotel district — and Zao, looking strangely vulnerable in a way he has never shown before, makes Akihito’s heart race. That is when he learns the truth: Zao is gay. The story takes an unexpected turn from there.
The manga has been serialized in the magazine GUSH (ガッシュ) since 2022 and has just claimed first place in the Love Comedy category at the BL Award 2025 organized by Chil Chil.

The anime is set to broadcast on TV Kanagawa in July 2026.
The adaptation of Perfect Addiction is part of the BALLOON Project, a collaboration among Imagica Infos, Dai Nippon Printing, Cyberd, and BLUE RIGHTS, aimed at adapting BL works for domestic and international audiences as light anime on an ongoing basis.
