A total of 1,048 people participated, split approximately 60% male and 40% female. In terms of age groups, those 19 and under made up roughly 30%, while the 30s and 40s groups each accounted for about 20%.
No. 1 — Zoro from ONE PIECE
Claiming first place with approximately 32% of the vote is Zoro, the swordsman and first mate of the Straw Hat Pirates from ONE PIECE. His standout philosophy — “These hands that cook food will not be harmed in battle” — means he uses only kicks when fighting enemies at sea.
Fans noted: “The line ‘A cook must protect his hands — he cannot afford to injure them in a fight’ perfectly captures Zoro’s unique spirit, and you feel a sense of pride in cheering on your crewmates.” There was also praise for his signature technique Diable Jambe (Devil Leg), where his leg ignites in flames — with comments like “Even just the name sounds stylish!”

Mouri Ran from Detective Conan (Meitantei Conan) earned around 12% of the vote. She is a high school student who holds the top rank at her karate club and has even reached the level of competing in the Tokyo Metropolitan Championship.
Respondents described her as “a genuine karate expert who can kick doors open and deflect blades — it’s so exciting,” and also praised her bravery in always being ready to risk danger to protect the members of the detective club without hesitation. Fans from the latest film, 名探偵コナン ハイウェイの堕天使 (Detective Conan: Highway’s Fallen Angel), cheered: “She has the most thrilling kick in the whole movie!”
No. 3 — Chun-Li from Street Fighter II
Chun-Li from Street Fighter II received around 7% of the vote. She is a fighter known for her extraordinary kicks and is one of the most iconic female characters in the fighting game genre.
Fans praised her legendary techniques Hyakuretsu Kyaku (Lightning Kick) and Spinning Bird Kick as unforgettable images, and also admired her genuinely powerful physique in her battle outfit. Older fans recalled playing on the Super Famicom since childhood, and there was excitement that she is still appearing in Street Fighter 6 and as a guest in other franchises.
