To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the TV anime Pumpkin Scissors, TOKYO MX2 will rebroadcast the classic series starting August 8, airing every Saturday at 11:00 a.m.
About Pumpkin Scissors
Pumpkin Scissors is based on the manga by Ryōtarō Iwanaga, which is still serialized in Monthly Shōnen Magazine published by Kodansha. The latest volume — Volume 25 — is scheduled for release on November 6.
The TV anime originally aired in 2006 for a total of 24 episodes, produced by GONZO × AIC. Set in an empire struggling with post-war hardship, the story follows the Imperial Army Intelligence Section III — nicknamed “Pumpkin Scissors” — as they work to rebuild the nation from the ravages of war, including famine, disease, and soldiers-turned-bandits.
Main Cast
- Shizuka Itō — Alice (main heroine)
