The TV anime Reiwa no Dara-san, based on the manga by Haruomi Tomuttsuka, has released a web preview, advance scene cuts, episode synopsis, and a noncredit ending video ahead of its broadcast debut.
Episode 1: “Yakomatadara of the Forbidden Land”
The first episode, titled Imichi no Yakomatadara, follows Hinata Mizokiya and her sibling Kaoru, who venture into a forbidden mountain area one stormy night while searching for their worried grandfather. There they encounter Yakomatadara — a fearsome curse deity with a half-human, half-serpent body and six arms known as “Dara-san.” Despite the god’s terrifying reputation, the two siblings manage to win it over with surprising ease.
The advance cuts showcase Hinata, Kaoru, and Dara-san together, while the noncredit ending video depicts warm, everyday moments between Dara-san and the Mizokiya siblings set to the song “Hinatabokko” performed by REIRIE.
Countdown Support Illustration Campaign
A daily countdown support illustration campaign has also launched on the anime’s official X account, running up to the July 2 premiere. Kicking off the series is Asaki Izumi, the creator of Mieruko-chan, who contributed the first illustration.
About the Series
Reiwa no Dara-san is an occult comedy about a curse deity living deep in the mountains and the children of the family tasked with guarding that mountain. The standard version will air on TOKYO MX and other channels, while AT-X will broadcast a special version subtitled “令和の時代に大丈夫なの!?Ver.” Streaming is also confirmed on d Anime Store and other platforms.
