Animation studio Lapin Track announced via its official X/Twitter account on Sunday that You and I Are Polar Opposites (Seihantai na Kimi to Boku) will skip a week before returning with its Season 2 finale block — the 12th episode of the second season (24th overall) is set to air on Sunday, September 27.
The announcement followed the broadcast of episode 23, in which the character Taira endures intense inner turmoil before ultimately finding his way back to the warm, everyday life shared with his friends.
About Season 2
The second season premiered on July 5 on MBS, TBS, and 26 affiliated networks, airing every Sunday at 5:00 p.m. JST. Crunchyroll streams the season internationally and also carries an English dub.
Story
Based on the romantic comedy manga by Kōcha Agasawa, the series follows Suzuki, an energetic girl who tends to go along with the crowd, and Tani, a quiet boy who has no trouble speaking his mind. Despite being polar opposites, the two find themselves drawn to each other in this heartfelt, down-to-earth rom-com.

About the Manga
Agasawa originally published the story as a one-shot on Shueisha’s Shonen Jump+ platform in January 2021, before launching the serialized version in May 2022. The manga concluded in November 2024, with the eighth and final compiled volume shipping in March 2025. The series has over 1.8 million copies in circulation (including digital).
The manga placed 3rd in the 16th Manga Taisho Awards (2023) and 7th in the 17th Manga Taisho Awards (2024). It is published in English by both MANGA Plus and Viz Media.
Season 1 of the anime premiered on January 11 on MBS and TBS, also streaming on ABEMA in Japan and on Crunchyroll worldwide with a same-day English dub, as well as through Animax Broadcasting Korea and Medialink.
