The TV anime Shangri-La Frontier 3rd Season has released a new visual and an interview video ahead of Exhibition Match Round 1, which pits Nu2meg against Lucas García inside the in-story VR fighting game Galaxia Heroes: Chaos.
Visual and Pre-Match Interview
The newly revealed visual depicts Nu2meg’s in-game character Yugdraiya and Lucas’s character Dr. Sandalphon rendered in a style that looks like a direct capture from the game’s screen. The accompanying interview video features both players discussing their mindset heading into the match, their impressions of each other as opponents, and their predictions for how the fight will unfold.
Comment from Hamano Daiki (Voice of Lucas García)
Lucas is a smooth-talking, good-looking young American — the kind of role that’s just fun to play, with lots of comedic moments. I was careful not to take him too seriously. Once he transforms into Dr. Sandalphon, though, a whole different side of him comes out! Even if it’s only within the game, I was genuinely happy to get to portray a hero. I tried to capture that cool quality of someone who corners a villain with a certain dandyish flair while still slipping in the occasional witty quip. I’m really looking forward to seeing how all the characters come alive in the animation.
