It has been announced that Utsuzawa Shikiso‘s light novel Shin no Seijo de Aru Watashi wa Tsuiho Saremashita. Dakara Kono Kuni wa Mou Owari desu (I, the True Saint, Was Exiled. Therefore This Country Is Done For) will receive a TV anime adaptation, scheduled to air in 2027.

Story

The series is a restart fantasy following the adventures of Eliane, a saint who is cast out of her country after her fiancé, First Prince Claude, breaks off their engagement. Rather than despair, Eliane seizes the moment and sets off on a journey. Along the way she meets Nigel, a prince from a neighboring kingdom. In gratitude for her aid in his time of need, he invites her to live in his castle — and it is there that Eliane’s true powers begin to flourish.

But she is more than just cute — her inner strength in the face of hardship is what makes her truly compelling, and I think that is exactly why everyone around her comes to love her. I am Yashiro Taku, and I will be playing Nigel. After reading the work, I found it both fascinating and deeply satisfying to see how the characters are affected — for better or worse — by Eliane’s abilities as a saint and her sheer humanity. Nigel is someone who genuinely cares for others and is beloved by his people, and I intend to bring that warmth and affection to every character I portray in this series.
