Sousou no Frieren (葬送のフリーレン), the fantasy manga currently serialized in Weekly Shonen Sunday by publisher Shogakukan, is getting a new line of merchandise under the concept “Trading Yurukoma” through the AMNIBUS online store. Pre-orders opened on March 25, 2026 and close on May 20, 2026.

For those unfamiliar with Sousou no Frieren, the story is set in the world after a party of brave heroes defeated the Demon King. The protagonist is Frieren, a centuries-old elven mage, whose journey was set in motion by the passing of Himmel, a warrior who once traveled alongside her, inspiring her to set out on a new journey.

What Is the “Yurukoma” Concept?

“Yurukoma” is an original AMNIBUS concept that takes key visuals, illustrations, or comic-panel artwork and redraws them into a cute deformed (chibi) style — capturing the atmosphere and charm of the source material in ways that standard deformed designs typically cannot.
